In his five short weeks of life, Orbit hasn’t met many other owls.
So he isn’t at all worried that his new best friend doesn’t hoot back.
The orphaned chick is perfectly content in the company of the stuffed bird perched next to him and is never far from his side.
Orbit, a common barn owl, was given the toy by Lyndsey Wood, his carer at Folly Farm, near Narberth in West Wales.
She said: ‘A friend suggested that I find something like a toy owl to stop Orbit feeling lonely.
‘I thought he might try to eat it, but he just cuddles up to it and goes to sleep.’
I wonder where I can get a sample of this non-toxic sunscreen from Australia - Eco Logical Skin Care. I want to test it’s non-whitening consistency. Anyone find a non-harmful sunscreen that works?

Do you still use a fax machine? If so, why!?! It’s such a waste of time and trees.
I’m glad I came across this article from Inc. today about standard fax alternatives to save paper.
Looking forward to using these free iPhone options for future fax and electronic signature encounters:

Coola Face SPF 30 Matte Finish Cucumber Natural Mineral Sunblock
Getting ready for a sun-kissed and fun filled summer and came across this organic sun care collection. I’m on the hunt for an effective sunscreen without the nasty chemicals. Almost all of the mainstream ones out there have parabens and bad chemicals that cause hormone disruptions. Open your mind to what you put on your skin since it’s the largest nutrient sucking organ on your body.
Anyone try a decent sunscreen out there without the pasty or greasy effects?

Have you watched the movie Rio yet?
I saw this movie the other day and loved it! Rio is graphically entertaining, has a colorful storyline and provides viewers with a glimpse into the tropical life of Brazil. Although the story was charming and quite humorous, it focuses on the underlying issue of endangered and extinct species. The extinct Brazilian blue parrot called the Spix’s Macaw, also know as the Little Blue Macaw, was featured in this movie as the characters, “Blue” and “Jewel”, the last two remaining rare macaws in the storyline.
Based on the information online about this species, some sources state that they are now extinct, so maybe the movie shows the severity of how endangered or extinct species slip silently under the radar in our busy human lives.
I’ve always admired the freedom of birds, in fact, quite a bit jealous of their natural ability of flight and seeing the world in a different perspective than us ground dwellers. I could never see myself owning a pet bird. They are so much more beautiful in nature. Luckily, the area where I live, there are species galore including: pelicans, blue herons, white cranes, seagulls, sand pipers, hummingbirds, ducks, parrots and even the endangered terns. I once helped volunteer to help prepare the nesting habitat of the migratory terns who visit their preserved habitat once a year. It was such a beautiful sight to see them arrive and enjoy their stay by the ocean.

Where to Find Water When It Starts to Run Out
We all know humans most importantly need oxygen and water to survive. But 97% of the Earth’s water is not drinkable. I wouldn’t be surprised, that in the near future, water prices will go up like gas prices when the water supply is close to being expended.

Any one try the vegan red velvet cupcakes at @Sprinkles yet?
Made with soy milk, tofu-based cream cheese and pure coconut oil. Now if only they had a sugar free one, or one made with honey or agave instead.
Mysterious Castle Under the Sea
View this interesting video about the underwater Japanese Atlantis. An underground pyramid with giant stone blocks was discovered under water. Some believe these were created by beings from another world. What do you think?
